Lake Region Math Contest
The Lake Region Math Contest began back in 1974. Each school in the conference can bring two students in each grade 9-12. The students compete in the following divisions: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Senior Math. Teachers from the schools rotate writing the tests for the students to take. This contest gives the students an opportunity to compete academically against their peers from other schools. Over the years, the number of schools participating has changed due to school consolidation and changes in conference affiliation. This year eight schools participated: Frederick, Faulkton, Langford, Leola, Ipswich, Northwestern, Warner, and Aberdeen Christian.
