Classroom Policies

Policies

I follow the grading scale adapted by the Board of Education.  I do round grades up to the nearest percent.  An example would be 84.5% would round up to an 85%.    All work that is not handed in when it is collected is reduced 20%.  If not handed in within 24 hours of the due date, it will be reduced another 20%.  After two days, the maximum points that it will recieve is 50%.  Students are not permitted to leave the classroom unless they have a pass from another teacher or the office.  Beverages are permitted in the classroom, but may be lost for one month if a drink is spilled or left after class.  Students are expected to be in their seat, ready to learn when the second bell sounds.  Students should have their books out, pencils sharpened, etc.

Behavior

Disruptive behavior is unacceptable in the classroom, and will be punished.  I stress to the students the golden rule, "Treat others as you like to be treated".
